‘Truck Side Guards’ – Cemex USA starts an evaluation program.
November 17th, 2017, Brooksville Florida – Through a collaboration between Cemex USA and AirFlow Deflector, they have undertaken the initial steps in the evaluation of truck side guards within their fleet. The first in the nation, testing three different types of guards on active vehicles driving the streets and highways of Florida.
Side guards are specifically intended to prevent pedestrians or cyclists from going under the truck when a side collision occurs. They can be made of aluminum, steel or fiberglass and are placed between the wheels and the cab, but not over them. They are available in a full panel or rail systems and can be installed on box trucks, flatbed, pneumatic, dry box, or reefer trailers, sanitation, fuel delivery, cement or roll-off trucks.
